BHA merges with ALMR

In 2018, the British Hospitality Association merged with ALMR to create UKHospitality. At its 2018 conference, ‘Shaping the Future’, key industry speakers from the accommodation, food service, leisure, pubs and bars sectors covered various subjects highlighting the state of nation and the industry’s challenges and opportunities. Shaping the Future gave the industry a single platform for the voice of the hospitality and tourism sector and was the perfect stage for setting out plans for championing the UK’s hospitality business interests.

Showcased at a previous year’s event was the ITN/BHA production entitled 'Welcoming the World', which features Concord Hotels, alongside other organisations. Please see our film by clicking on the following link

"For the member hotels it provides a guaranteed supply of committed, ambitious and eager employees who can provide the backbone to the workforce within an establishment. It also provides a level of certainty over where the next staff member is going to come from in an uncertain jobs market. Once trained the member hotels can also reap the rewards of fully trained managers who have a professional approach to the industry and a diverse experience of the different hotel departments."
